Operational Update: August 2024 to January 2025
In the second half of August 2024, Emerald treated 10 additional wells with its H2-generating Amendment. These wells were completed in 4 different coal seams, and the H2 amendment used was over two times the volume per foot of coal as in the July 2022 field test.
Three months post-treatment, and with 2 roughly equally spaced periods of sampling and lab analysis, the mol percent of H2 in the treated wells has increased in 7 of the 10 wells treated. A third gas sampling date and lab analysis are planned for the week of January 13, 2025, weather permitting.
